Candle Care & Safety

  • Remove any botanicals (dried flowers or herbs) from the top of your candle before lighting.
  • Place your candle on a flat, heat resistant surface and in a suitable place, away from drafts or any flammable materials, and alway's keep out of reach from children and animals.
  • Never leave your lit candle unnatended.
  • Keep your wick trimmed to approximately 5mm to avoid flame getting too large. (This will also improve the fragrance quality of your candle and prevent the wick from 'mushrooming' and producing any black soot)
  • Make sure to burn your candle until the top layer has fully melted, especially on the first burn as this can cause 'tunneling'.
  • Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Make sure your candle has fully cooled down before re-lighting.
  • Refrain from burning your candle when you are down to the last half an inch of wax left at the bottom of the jar.

WAX MELT CARE & SAFETY

  • Remove your wax melt from it's packaging and place your desired amount onto your wax burner. (As our wax melts are highly scented, we reccomend just 1 or 2 wax cubes or the equivalent to this size)
  • If you have a large wax block, you can use a wax cutter or an appropriate knife to cut off the desired amount of wax you would like to use.
  • Use an unscented tea light under the well of your burner, or you may wish to use an electric burner instead.
  • Make sure your burner is kept in a suitable place on a flat, heat resistant surface and away from children and animals.
  • Never leave your lit burner unnatended.
  • Do not pick up your burner or move it while it is lit.
  • We reccomend changing your wax melt after approximately 8 hours. (Tea lights typically burn for around 4 hours so this would mean you can get around 2 uses from your wax melt, although stronger scents may last longer!)
  • We reccomend storing your wax melts in a cool, dark place away from sunlight, and in a tight container to preserve it's fragrance.
